Who would have thought two fresh graduates, who started a small business just in a garage can become billionaires just like, that?

I am talking about Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
When Page and Brin first moved in the garage, Google had just been incorporated with a bankroll of $1 million raised from a handful of investors. Today, Google has about $10 billion in cash and a market value of $125 billion!

Their headquarters, known as Googleplex is situated in Mountain View, Silicon Valley in California. Wish this was our office.

The employees' workspaces are all about individuality. The atmosphere is relaxed, couches are everyhwere and they can just lie down to take a break if they want to. If we did that in the office, I'll probably get fired.

Google's employees have meetings at the corridors or at the pool table. Look at that guy, meeting while riding on a scooter. So cool lah.

They can even bring their pets to work. Their pets are also allowed to wander around the office. Many staffs have pets. :)

There's a rule within Google: that there must be food within 100 feet of every employee. There was once an engineer who felt a bit ripped off about that rule because his nearest food counter was 120 feet away, so he asked for the error to be corrected, tongue in cheek. The relevant department replied: "There's a restaurant right above your desk, and you are definitely less than 100 feet from that one."

Looks like a toyshop more than a workspace! My workspace doesn't even have that many things. I think it's time for me to do something about it.

Rumor has it, a dude who had just joined Google had not been able to find a flat, so he lived at Google HQ for a month. He lived a lot better than Tom Hanks in The Terminal. Meals are provided, couches everywhere, there are showers in the bathrooms, a gym and a swimming machine. There are even pianos in music rooms you could use. Better than the facilities at home! The dude didn't leave Google HQ for a month straight.
